About the role

EASM has an exciting opportunity for a passionate sports management student to join the board as student representative. In this role you will represent the student voice within the EASM board. We are looking for a motivated student who wants to gain extracurricular career experience and wants to make a difference in developing sports management in Europe.

What will you be doing?

In this role you will be part of the EASM board. You attend quarterly board meetings both virtually and in-person, and you attend our student events to connect with students. Besides this, your responsibilities include:

  • Keeping the EASM Instagram page active together with our office manager
  • Promoting and attending our student events
  • Proactively connecting with sport management students at events to grow the EASM student community
  • Be the lead on our student-led programs including:
    • EASM Employability Blog
    • EASM Mentorship Program
    • EASM Membership Campaigns
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on student-related projects

You will be working alongside other board members to grow our student community and deliver events and projects in the most enriching way.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking to recruit a student representative who is registered as student in a sport-related program at the time of appointment (autumn 2022). We welcome applications from bachelor, master and PhD students. We are looking for an outgoing person that likes to connect with others, and your English communication skills are fluent.

Why should you apply?

The EASM board term is three years. Ideally, you would be registered as a student for the full three years, but this is no prerequisite. We anticipate the weekly commitment will be around 1-2 hours and you are expected to attend our events and board meetings every few months.

While the role will be on a voluntary basis with no salary, EASM will cover all costs for your travels and accommodation when attending our events and board meetings. Additionally, this role is a great opportunity to develop your CV and build a network while studying.

Interested? Send your CV and a one-minute video outlining why you should be the next student representative to christian.overduin@easm.net and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Application deadline: 11th September 2022, 23:59 CET.
