EASM Advisory Board

OBJECTIVES

The main objective of the Advisory board is to provide advice and constructive feedback on EASM’s strategic priorities and their implementation. A further objective is to facilitate involvement with relevant policy developments at European level including contacts with leaders of sport industry, and to promote EASM.

REMIT

The Advisory Board will meet twice a year – once virtually and the second time during the EASM annual conference. After each meeting, the Advisory Board will produce a short document outlining its views of EASM Board’s performance and will suggest appropriate actions. The recommendations of the Advisory Board do not have compulsory character for EASM but will be examined and responded to by the Board.

The EASM office will provide the Advisory Board with appropriate documentation and information to facilitate its work.

Oleksandr Kucheriavyi

Over the course of 20-year multisport and multicultural career in sports organization and management with a particular focus on the business of sports he has been involved in competitions as varied as football, Olympic games, athletics, tennis, ice hockey, basketball, beach soccer, gymnastics, handball, weightlifting, motorsports and others.

His professional journey as a sports manager started in Ukraine where he was born and continued on the path to global international sports industry over the recent decade.

Current role at UEFA is focused on the strategic business development of National Associations to grow European football.

Passionate about education, he is a big believer in lifelong learning.

All professional careers have been dedicated specifically to sports business due to his strong belief in a positive impact it can make on the global society through strategic development of sports as a means to sustain social wellbeing across the world.

Stefan Bergh

Stefan Bergh is the President of the European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation, ENGSO. He has more than 25 years of experience in sport policy, leadership and in the work for the development of grassroots sport.

Since 2016 Mr Bergh is also the Secretary General of the Swedish Sports Confederation. He has a great passion for sports and is especially committed to issues related to international sports development.

Between 1995 and 2015 Stefan Bergh was involved in Executive Committee of the International University Sports Federation, FISU, where he fulfilled the positions of Vice-President and Assessor. His input and advices, most specifically in the fields of development and strategic review, contributed to establishing the federations basis and its relations with its national and continental members.

Between 2011 and 2016, Mr Bergh also served as the Secretary General in the Swedish Cancer Society, Sweden’s largest fund-raising organisation. Mr Bergh has a bachelor in pedagogy from Uppsala University.

Narcisa Lecusanu

Narcisa Lecusanu is a former top professional handball player and Romanian National player. Lecusanu has had many years experience in various aspects of handball and currently focuses on coaching young handball talents, being a TV expert in the field of handball and being an executive member of the International Handball Committee. Lecusanu is also a „BeActive” ambassador for the EU and an Inspirational Speaker.
Since 2017 Narcisa Lecusanu has held multiple Handball Federation positions. Since starting on the Romanian Handball Federation Executive Board in 2014, Lecusanu has served as a Member in the International Handball Federation and has held Chairwoman and Board Member positions in the European Handball Federation. Moreover, Narcisa is currently Chairwomen of the Women’s Handball Working Group and Executive Member of the International Handball Federation.
Narcisa Lecusanu has also served as Secretary of State for Sport in the Romanian Ministry for Youth and Sport and currently holds the position of Managing Director of NTM Business International.
