As the Student Representative you have an important role of taking care of Sport Management students. EASM really cares about its students and has been working hard to actively engage them with the life of the Association.

We welcome an open-minded, curious individual with diversity of thought and an eagerness to learn but also to take own initiatives. A genuine passion and excitement for sport management is fundamental in order to gain the most from this role. The EASM Board consists of sport management scholars from across Europe volunteering their time, which means you will be working in a team of dedicated individuals.

To be able to effectively contribute to the work of EASM and demonstrate excellent teamwork and project management skills

Be self-motivated and able to work both independently or as part of a team

Able to take responsibility and to work accurately and methodically

Possess good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work without day to day direction

An understanding of inter-cultural differences

High levels of enthusiasm and commitment

Efficient, well organised and systematic

Friendly and helpful

Applicants for the position of Student Representative must...

Applicants for the position of Student Representative must:

… be a student for atleast two more years

… commit for a two year term

… (Preferably) be an EASM member for at least one year

Specific Competencies

Specific Competencies

As EASM undertakes various work and projects, your competencies of student matters are of big importance. However, communication is key in order to engage the students and help improving the future of sport management students.

All meetings and correspondence undertaken by EASM are in English; hence, all board members should have good verbal and written english skills

EASM Expectations

EASM Expectations

Board members are expected to attend three board meetings per year, where EASM covers the travel expenses for the Student Representative

Board members will be assigned individual projects and tasks related to the EASM aims and expected to report back regarding developments and progress.

All Board members are required to be involved in helping to organise and coordinate the key work undertaken by EASM including: the Annual EASM Conference, EASM Student Seminar; EASM PhD Seminar; EASM Summer School; the European Sport Management Quarterly and other projects associated with EASM

All board members are expected to contribute to the EASM Annual Report that is presented at the AGM each year.
