EASM was involved with the European 'Sports Coordinator' project. It was an European education project designed for all working in sports facilities. The participating countries were Sweden, Finland, Italy Greece and Cyprus. The project background was the knowledge that future demands of those working at the facilities will increase and change. The project did run from October 2005 till December 2007.
EASM is also an active partner in the AEHESIS project. The objective of the AEHESIS Thematic Network Project is 'Aligning a European Higher Educational Structure In Sport Science' by focusing on two major aspects. Firstly to integrate programmes and time frames of educational structures and secondly to ensure that the identified structures relate to the needs of the labour market in the four main areas: Sport Management, Physical Education, Health & Fitness and Sport Coaching. If you are interested in the current topics and projects within sport education in Europe you take a look at the ENSSEE newsletter.
