Our 2010 Conference in Prague together with our General Assembly is coming closer and closer. This message is to remind you, if you’ve not yet registered into our Conference, please do it urgently.

EASM has organised 17 conferences.
The 18th EASM annual conference will be organized September 15-18, 2010 in Prague (Czech Republic).
During our next General Assembly there will be some elections:
EASM Board members:
Gerco van Dalfsen (due for re-election after 1 period)
Per-Göran Fahlström (due for re-election after 1 period)
They both have informed that they are willing to continue.
In order to be appointed as a Member of the Board, a person must be a member of EASM and be a citizen of a country in membership of the Council of Europe or live or work in a country in membership of the Council of Europe. Nomination of candidates for election to the Board may be submitted by any two full or institutional members of EASM, who must be eligible to vote at the Annual General Meeting, provided that such
nomination is deposited with the Secretary in writing by 31st July prior to the Annual General Meeting. The nomination should specify whether the candidate has been nominated as an Officer (President, Vice-President, Secretary or Treasurer as appropriate) or as an individual member of the Board.

We'll publish our EASM Annual Report 2009-10 on our website (http://www.easm.net) so please, visit our website at least in the end of August and print your personal copies before coming to our next Conference and General Assembly.

New Researchers Award (NRA)
With the kind support provided by Routledge Journals.
This prize is awarded for the best original theoretical or conceptual advance and significant unpublished contribution in sport management. The research should be appropriate for presentation at the annual EASM conference and publication in the European Sport Management Quarterly. To be eligible for this award, researchers must be near to completion of their Ph.D. or have graduated less than three years prior to submission. The prize is established to stimulate dissemination of new ideas and innovative research in Sport Management by encouraging new researchers at the start of their career.
